THE BENEFITS OF BEING A MEMBER
Being a member of the Novocastrian Swimming Club (Novos) gives the swimmer the opportunity to experience competitive swimming at any level, from Club swimming through to National and International level. The Club runs Inter-Club and Club Only race meets a few times throughout the year where members can gain race experience and qualifying times in a relaxed atmosphere. For information on how to join our Club, click here.
The Club is affiliated with CVSA, Swimming NSW and Swimming Australia.
We recommend all parents apply for their free volunteer Working With Children Check from the Office of the Children’s Guardian. Apply here now.

Summer season is October to April.
Winter season is May to September.
If you have never belonged to a Swimming Club in NSW, instructions on how to become a member can be found here. You will register in Swim Central first as the “guardian” and then you will add your swimmers to your family group by adding them as “dependents” if they are under the
age of 18. Once you are registered you will need to purchase membership packages.
Members must renew their membership prior to competing in October to be eligible to register for a Meet and in order to for your times to be official.
RENEWING MEMBERS
Existing Novocastrian members can log in to Swim Central and add the Membership they require to their cart.
Note: If you have previously been a swimming Club member but missed a year or more, you will still have an existing Swim Central ID so do NOT create a new Swim Central ID. Try logging in with the email you would have used and then click “Forgot Password”. If that doesn’t work, email Swim Central Help to request your log in details. Make sure you give them your swimmer’s NAME AND DATE OF BIRTH and which Club you used to belong to.

WHAT DO MY MEMBERSHIP FEES COVER
Our Club is a volunteer-run not-for-profit community organisation, which provides subsidies to eligible swimmers, and subsidises Relay Teams, camps, bus trips, competitions, professional speakers, other sports professionals, and various Club-run team building and social activities.
Our latest initiatives include the provision and use of underwater filming equipment, stroke correction clinics, parent information sessions run by health and wellness experts, team-building evenings, club presentation events and fun activities for the enjoyment of all swimmers.
In addition to the government, insurance and other administration fees incurred by our Club, your membership fees also include comprehensive injury insurance cover when participating in Club activities.
The majority of your Swimmer membership fees cover the National (SA), State (SNSW), & Area (CVSA) fees. Only a small portion goes toward our Novos Club.
